Children build confidence and enthusiasm, whilst feeling secure and happy in their environment.
Rose Cottage is a light, spacious and airy environment and is thoughtfully divided into four childcare groups: the Garden Room, Rosebuds, Sunbeams and our pre-school group, Busybees.
We have onsite kitchen facilities, plus large garden and play space to the rear of the nursery for each childcare group. The nursery has ample parking to ease drop-off and pick-up times for parents.
Our nursery staff create safe, caring, orderly and beautiful learning environments which present a wide range of inviting and interesting activities tailored to meet the specific developmental needs of children, ensuring your child receives age-appropriate care, activities, and support as they progress through their early years. Activities are planned for all age groups with a combination of busy and quiet activities, indoor and outdoor play.
We also place a strong emphasis on enhancing their language and communication skills. We understand that every child has unique abilities and learning paces, and as such, we ensure that we offer equal opportunities for all children to learn and communicate, adapting our approaches to meet their individual needs.
Our curriculum is carefully planned in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that we provide a rich learning experience. Children’s progress is meticulously recorded through a learning journal for each child, utilising the principles outlined in the EYFS practice guidance.
Garden Room
Our Baby Room offers a safe, stimulating and homely environment where our youngest children can explore their surroundings freely whilst investigating through play. We tailor our care for each baby so that their routines at home are closely followed.
Rosebud Room
Rosebud Room caters for our younger children who are ‘just finding their feet’ and developing into confident walkers. They are cared for in a fun, stimulating and inspiring environment where they can explore their surroundings, build their confidence and enjoy being creative whilst they play.
Sunbeam Room
Our Sunbeam Room caters for our 2–3 year olds who are learning new skills rapidly. Children are free to explore their stimulating environment whilst learning through play and peer to peer interactions. The children are also given opportunities to build on their independence skills and also their confidence.
Busybee Room
Our pre-school rooms are an ideal learning environment for children to become more independent as they prepare for the exciting transition to school. We create a stimulating atmosphere where children can freely explore and engage in play, fostering their natural curiosity. As their independence and self-help skills develop, we are committed to providing the necessary support and encouragement to help them thrive in these areas. Practical experiences not only promote a sense of responsibility but also help instil valuable life skills at an early age.
Outdoor Areas
We are extremely lucky to have a wonderful large garden which is both safe and secure, providing an ideal outdoor learning environment which has been specially designed and imaginatively resourced with a wide range of equipment, building activities, water play and natural resources. We have vegetable planting beds, mud kitchens, loose part resources allowing problem solving, large sand and grass areas along with an outside classroom. Children go outdoors every day and activities take place in all weathers.
